Pharmacare

Canada is the only country with a universal healthcare system that doesn’t include prescription drug coverage.

Canadians pay the second-highest prices for prescription drugs among countries with universal medicare.

About 70% of Canadians rely on private insurance plans provided through their employers. There are over 100 000 private drug plans across the country.

They all provide different levels of coverage. we work alongside other provincial coalitions, health organizations, unions and concerned citizens to advocate for a universal drug plan.
