We have a new Provincial Director!

Please welcome Neena Saxena as the new Provincial Director of the Saskatchewan Health Coalition! Here is a brief introduction to our new Director:

Neena started as the new Provincial Director of the Saskatchewan Health Coalition in June 2025.  She views this as an exciting opportunity to work on two passions of hers - Saskatchewan and health.  Neena has lived in the great province of Saskatchewan for the last few decades and loves Saskatchewan and the fact that we are the birthplace of Medicare. She has worked most of her career on the determinants of health and improving the health of ALL Canadians - Indigenous, women, newcomers, seniors, rural, youth - and looks forward to working on the issues of pharmacare, seniors care and privatization.

She has worked with numerous non-profits including Indigenous and newcomer organizations, as well as various government levels; she lives in Regina at present but grew up in Saskatoon and has lived/worked in Melville and Yorkton; and she is an animal lover and guardian of two dogs.

As the new Director, Neena states: "I appreciate the opportunity to work with all of the SHC membership and Board on such important issues to quality healthcare. I will be implementing an outreach strategy including attending local events in order to develop partnerships and national health coalition meetings in order to expand our advocacy.  Please feel free to contact me at the Saskatchewan Health Coalition email to inform me of upcoming events or to share information.  Thank you!  Neena"

Saskatchewan Health Coalition

We are one of several coalitions across Canada who operate autonomously but are connected by priorities both at the provincial/territorial and federal level. Our network has and continues to work together on many campaigns and initiatives.
